Helen Karchner

Helen R. Karchner is an entrepreneur, a speech coach, an adjunct professor, an author, a facilitator, and a corporate trainer. Her manuals address such areas as technical writing, customer service, and workers’ compensation techniques. Helen, a 25 year member of the Pi Kappa Delta Honorary, served on the PKD National Council for two years. She is also a member of the National Communication Association, the National Association of Female Executives, the International Communication Association, and the American Business Women’s Association.
Helen is aggressive, hard working, and passionate to and for all speakers; a zealot for success!
As a speech coach and trainer, Helen’s experience and education evolved from the academic and professional arenas. Since 1986, Helen has honed her oral, written, and presentational skills utilizing her undergraduate and master’s degrees from West Chester University. In the past, she has assisted various directors of forensics in coaching their speech teams and judging thousands of students at public speaking tournaments. Helen has also served as the Campaign Coordinator and Speech Writer for a Pennsylvania state senatorial candidate. Throughout the 90’s, Helen served on local, provincial, and regional boards, and held the National PKD Province Coordinator seat. From 2000-2010, she served as President of the WCU-PKD Alumni Chapter. Helen was honored by receiving the “Carolyn Keefe Outstanding Alumni Award” at the 2003 National Convention. From 2001-2004, Helen served as the Director of Forensics for Ursinus College, coaching her team to become PA State Champions. For 10 years, Helen taught as an adjunct professor at Ursinus College, Temple University, and the North Harris College Consortium.

As a consultant, Helen has helped numerous individual speakers formulate their own methods of presentation and style, which has lead to their success! Helen has coached her clients to speak more clearly and with distinction, trained them to think analytically, deliver ideas in their own voice, while maintaining the self-control to do it with dignity. As a national/international presenter, Helen has provided qualitative research analysis presentations for various marketing clients. Helen has designed and taught many communication courses, training programs, and workshops.
